Details are that extra something in Gothic for many fans. Sadly details got a raw deal in Gothic 3. One example is the usage of magic by NPCs. “How so?” you may ask yourself, and justifiably so. Aren’t there more than enough mages doing more magic than Harry Potter in all eight movies together? And here lies the crux of the matter. Yes mages wield magic in Gothic 3 over and over again, but they seem to have forgotten their respective fields. Just like a physics teacher, who would normally not give music lessons, a water mage wouldn’t typically use a fireball charm. The only exception being Gothic 3. Now our scripters have tackled that problem and assigned a spell of the respective element to each mage. We captured this detail in the following video.
